Local dog walking group in Horsham

We (well, most of us!), like to socialise with others, so how about helping our little mates to socialise as well? We've been organising these dog walking events in Horsham and local areas since 2012, and they are always totally free of charge.

Who is this for? - this group is for singles, couples, couples with children, young and not-so-young.

We meet once a month at different venues in and around Horsham on a Sunday morning at 11am to have a group dog walk. The walks are at a leisurely pace and usually about 6km, lasting about 1.5 to 2 hours with a short social stop at a nice dog-friendly beer garden at the end!

It's a great way for you and your little mate to make new friends, both getting exercise in the fresh air, while you're finding out about new dog walks in Horsham and local areas, plus, you can turn up whenever you want.

There's also our popular summer picnic in a local (fenced off) small field plus our Christmas walk and meal by the beach on the south coast.

For younger dogs and puppies, you might be thinking of taking them to dog socialisation classes in Horsham or nearby areas, but try us first, it's all free, plus, we only have the smaller types of dogs, so not so intimidating to some dogs.

In this Horsham dog walking group you'll often see Beagles, Bichon Frise, Border Terriers, Cairn Terriers, Cavaliers, Cavapoos, Cockapoos, Cocker Spaniels, Cockerpoos, Corgis, Dachshunds, Jack Russells, Norfolk Terriers, Norwich Terriers, Poodles, Schnauzers, Sprockers, West Highland Terriers, Yorkshire Terriers, plus numerous small cross breeds, etc, and all having great fun running around with each other in the open fields and woodlands.

Every group has guidelines, and we only have very few - your dog can be any age for this group, but, to ensure a happy balance for everyone, including all dogs, this group is only for dogs no bigger in height than a Collie, plus, you need to be sure that your dog is usually friendly to other people and other dogs, lastly, some dogs have issues with other dogs if they're on a lead, or if they see another dog on a lead, so only apply to join if you will let your dog off the lead when safe to do so in open fields.

Because of the simple guidelines above, we have great events, with great people and great little mates, and without any issues, (in fact, members often refer to us as one of the friendliest groups in Horsham).
